The quality of Philips ECC83 has always been very good. Even the standard types made in Heerlen (shown in the first two pictures on the left side and labelled Amperex, Valvo, Philips a.s.o.) sound nice. But the real cool tubes are the long plate types from the plant in Hamburg.

Anyway I have to mention that all Philips long plate ECC83 are much rarer than any Telefunken ECC83....

  Notes:

- Many "Amperex" labelled tubes have date codes as "6003" = 3rd week of 1960

and "Made in Holland" printing = Heerlen <= I65 Δ0A3

- Large plate (17mm) ECC83 tubes from Philips production have "mC" codes

  instead of "I6".
