In the U.S. and Canada
Philips tubes were labelled "Amperex" or with a "Bugle Boy" logo. Many of these "Amperex"
tubes were made in the plant in Heerlen, Netherlands. Philips tubes
produced in Germany
appeared as "Valvo". In southern
Europe most Philips tubes were sold and produced as Miniwatt or Dario (Italy).
BUT: MANY LABELS WERE USED FOR TUBES OF DIFFERENT ORIGINE - there are
zillions of Valvos from the Netherlands and "Philips" labelled tubes from Great
Britain where they usually appeared as "Mullard"....... So WATCH AT THE CODES! |
